Finding your strength

2-corinthians-12-10

What is strength? The dictionary states it as being the quality or state of being strong.  So, what do you use as your strength? Where does your strength come from? My strength comes from God, my family, and friends.  Sometimes strength will come when you least expect it.  There are times where I am not feeling my best physically and mentally, where I feel unmotivated but God will send me strength and today on 8/23/17 he did just that, but when he did it he did it through my 3-year-old nephew Kristian.  While Kristian was on face time with my mother, she came in the room and allowed him to speak to me, and when he saw me laying in the bed he said to me “Uncle Dee you’re not supposed to be laying down this morning, get up it’s a beautiful day”, and all I could think to myself is wow, and it made me think of having childlike faith. My nephew was so happy, and without a worry in the world, and that’s the exact type of strength I needed this morning to start me on my way.  We should display some childlike qualities and not have a worry, and make the most out of what the day gives us.  I know speaking for myself I get so wrapped up in trying to figure things out, and come up with solutions, and I don’t do anything but get in my own way.  What I mean by that is that God has things worked out for us already. The battle we are facing has already been won we just have to sit back and let God be God. We cannot pray for God to fix something for us and then worry about it. We have to do one or the other.  I also find strength in doing this blog and podcast because there are so many people out there that need encouragement including myself, and everyone who reads my blog, listen to my podcast, those who give feedback you all give me an amazing amount of strength, and if you are reading this right now I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I would like to end this post by saying I hope that you all find your strength.  Sometimes it is right in front of our faces, but we have to open our eyes with and be willing to receive it.  May God bless you all, and may your hearts be healed.

If you have any questions or would like to leave feedback please email me at info@thehealing-heart.com.  I thank you all for your patience as well regarding the podcast episodes I am having technical difficulties, but the Podcast should be up and running again soon.
